Fibromyalgia Program

Fibromyalgia (pronounced FY-BRO-MY-AL-JA) is a common and complex chronic pain disorder that affects people physically, mentally and socially.

NorthEast Internal & Integrative Medicine has developed a fibromyalgia clinic to provide symptom relief through a customized treatment program which includes two evidence-based integrative treatments, acupuncture and massage. Both can help relieve fatigue, anxiety and assist with difficulties in getting restful sleep. Massage therapy relaxes your muscles and can help improve the range of motion in your joints making exercise and activity less painful.

To enroll in the fibromyalgia clinic you must have a referral from a physician or medical professional. A physician referral can come from one of the following sources: primary care, neurologist, rheumatologist, orthopedist, mental health provider and other health professionals. Referral coordinators call 704-403-7056 to request a patient consult. If you are currently a patient at NorthEast Internal & Integrative Medicine you can be referred directly into the program.
